What is Diamond Clarity?
Clarity measures the presence of inclusions (internal features) and blemishes (surface features). Grades range from Flawless to Included. Our standard VVS+ means inclusions are very, very slightly included—difficult to see even under 10× magnification, and invisible to the naked eye.

Common Inclusion Types
Most inclusions are microscopic and don’t affect beauty at high clarity grades. Here are a few you might see on a grading report:
Pinpoint
A tiny crystal—often only visible under magnification. VVS+ may show isolated pinpoints, if any.
Feather
A wispy internal feature. At VVS/VS, typically microscopic and has no impact on durability or beauty.
Needle / Crystal
A slender crystal or tiny mineral particle. Rarely visible in VVS grades.
